Around 6pm on April 26, 2008, Lincoln Fire Alarm dispatched a first alarm assignment to 238 Chapel St. for a reported structure fire. First arriving companies had heavy smoke showing from a two and a half story occupied wood-framed home. Attack lines were immediately placed in action and an aggressive interior attack commenced.
The fire was placed under control shortly by the incident commander and extensive overhaul was conducted. This fire occurred in the Saylesville district of Lincoln with the Lonsdale, Albion, and Limerock districts assisting in extinguishing of the blaze. Lincoln Rescue and the Providence Canteen were also on scene. The RI State Fire Marshal's Office was called in to investigate the cause of the fire.
