Members of the Cumberland Hill Fire Department conducted a vehicle extrication refresher class today. Training was conducted by Robert Shields of Public Safety Training Associates. Members of the department completed evolutions in vehicle stabilization, heavy lifting with high-pressure air bags, roof and door removals, new car technology, rescuer safety, glass removal, and dash rolls. The Cumberland Hill Fire Department utilizes a brand new set of Holmatro rescue tools including airbags, spreader, cutter, and a 24 volt battery operated combi-tool. The tools are kept on Cumberland Hill's Engine 41, a 2005 Pierce Dash.
